Wondering If Strength Training Is Gonna Hurt Your Performance?

We've seen quite a few posts lately about the benefits of resistance training for athletes.  Many combat skill coaches and athletes question the benefits and avoid it, but I believe most of that stems from either a lack of education or a bad experience in their past.

The majority of people think of bodybuilding or fitness routines when strength training comes up.  Big, buff guys in tank tops flexing on the beach, but strength training for athletes is very different than magazine routines and feeling 'the pump'.
